We are an inter-disciplinary network which aims to foster dialogue between scholars working in the field of hip-hop studies across a range of disciplinary backgrounds including anthropology, cultural studies, dance, developmental studies, economics, film and television studies, fine art, gender studies, geography, history, international relations, theatre and performance, linguistics, literary studies, sociology, media and communication, musicology, and others.

Though based in the UK the network actively seeks to engage in productive collaborations with other national and international groups as well as with local groups working on aspects of British hip-hop culture. We encourage representatives from other networks, associations, and research groups to get in touch and attend Hip-Hop Studies Network events in order to explore potential affinities.

A network that aims to bring together scholars from any discipline working on hip hop.
